About me

I was born on October 3, 1962 in Tartu, Estonia.

My father Aleksander Suuman (1927-2003) was a well-known poet, painter and teacher.

My mother Laine Pukk taught art at the Children’s Art School for thirty years.

1971-1974 Children Art School in Tartu, Estonia.

1991 I started my freelance artist career, specializing in portraiture.

1992 First Solo Exhibition in Tallinn, Estonia.

1993-1994 “Thoughtful Painting (Mõttemaal)”, Thirteen TV show's – painting prominent Estonians and interviewing them, Estonian Television.

1995-1997 Founder and Director of Academy of the Little Prince in Estonia. Saturday school with 20 teachers and 100 pupils.

1997 Tartu Art School trip to Italy and Greece, teacher.

1997 Trip to North-Norway.

1997 Trip to Gran Canaria.

Since 1999 Member of the PSOA-Portrait Society of America.

Since 1999 Member of the ASOPA-American Society of Portrait Artists.

2000 First trip to New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles.

Since 2000 Member of the Fellowship of the Christians in Portraiture, New York, USA.

2004 The Royal Society of Portrait Painters annual exhibition in London Mall Gallery.

2004 Presentation and signing of the paintings of His Holiness Alexy II, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia in Russian Federation Embassy Gallery in Tallinn on February 18, 2004. Handing over the paintings in Patriarchs Residence in Moscow on March 24.
