I was visiting my Palos Verdes friends in America for the first time. One day I asked to be taken to paint the ocean. I water colored the ocean for several hours. I knew it was a place very close to Los Angeles. I didn’t know exactly how far I was from the down-town of Los Angeles but I knew that looking at it from Estonia, from Europe, I am sitting by the ocean in Los Angeles. That’s how this painting got its name. Later on I found out I was painting the wave in Malaga Cove close to Neighborhood Church about one in the afternoon.
